We are excited to invite you to the Inaugural Cactus Connection event! The event will be held at the Longhorn Ranch Motel on September 14th, 2026.

One goal of the event is to provide opportunities for local business owners and chamber members to get better acquainted, discuss business strategies, and connect in a casual setting.

A second goal is to help raise money for the Big Bend Chamber of Commerce to subsidize our Membership fund. As you know, we provide money to local businesses and events. Which fund it comes from is dependent on whether or not the funds provided will directly put “Heads in Beds.” For example, an event for the local community must come from the Membership fund. These events include the Easter Egg Hunt, the 4th of July celebration, Halloween, and Mingle and Jingle, as well as this event celebrating our members.

In order to meet these goals and enrich our relationships with members, we are asking members who are able to donate an “Experience” for a live auction. It would entail the donating member or member representative presenting a little about their business and what the experience would be. Then we would open up to the live auction to raise funds for the Chamber. We understand that all members cannot provide a donation item—no worries! We still want to get your name out there and ask you to bring pamphlets, literature, or any media you prefer so other members can learn more about you.

Longhorn Ranch Motel has generously agreed to provide the location. In order to keep the cost down, chamber members have opted to cater the function for the cost of the food. This will ensure as much money as possible will be available for our events or for our members when needed.
